As part of its tradition to hold prayers invoking the powers that be, and in a bid to seek for divine blessings, Kololo SSS invited the powerful men of God from different denominations to shower this year’s UACE candidates with blessings and success in the forthcoming UNEB papers.

Sheikh Abdulatif Mutyaaba who represented the Muslim faith, told the senior six candidates that making it to the level where they are in, was not their sole effort but Allah`s wishes. He said that Allah had already given them what they needed (success) and that He cannot take it away after giving it to them. He declared success upon the senior six candidates and encouraged them to keep in line even after their examinations so as to remain relevant in the community. He ended his message by challenging the candidates to read hard for the papers so as to reap overflowing harvest from what they have sown.

Father Jude Kato of the Holy Trinity Church- Kamwokya, told the candidates that they should always thank God the Almighty for He has been able to sustain them thus this far. He informed them that education is the greatest equalizer in life; it can change one from a nobody to a somebody. He added that one can never go wrong with education, money is not all, but education is very important. He concluded by encouraging the candidates to go to higher institutions of learning after S.6. He challenged them to pay attention to what is important and avoid distractions from their path to attain higher education success.

Rev. Moses Ahimbisibwe who oversees the Anglican faithful at Kololo SSS implored the candidates to read hard but also to have some rest. He advised them not to lose hope and not to allow people take advantage of them since they are the people God has set apart for his purposes. He emphasized that God is a faithful God and that He has better plans for them. Rev. Moses asked the candidates not to forget their teachers and whoever has been there for them when they succeed in future. He concluded by telling the candidates to work hard, sacrifice for their future and ask God for whatever they lack because He gives generously.

The session left candidates motivated and in very high spirits as they gear up for their last high school examinations.
